These are probably RFD's tiptop 2 jackets. Can't go wrong with either but personally not a fan of the look/fit of the gotham jacket. Tried both and went with EB.

This is a FANTASTIC jacket, and or me, was a meliorate fit than the Gotham. At this cost, it's a no brainer actually.
I had a teacher friend accompany me when I bought it in store a few years agone. There is a discount for teachers and another professions. Not certain if that is notwithstanding the instance, but worth checking if you have a store near you.

I picked up this jacket a couple of years back for $140 (70% off). Very well made, accept used this jacket in extreme common cold weather of Alberta (upwardly to -35 degC), with no issues whatsoever. I have quite a few jackets of other brands, but this is my go-to jacket for winter weather now. It covers you well, gives yous fantabulous current of air and h2o protection and looks great. From the inside, it has wet wicking cloth, and then doesn't brand you sweaty. Doesn't thing the temperature exterior, I only put it on a t-shirt and off I get. I would buy again for $210 if I didn't have information technology already.

Found the Gotham fit to be sloppy - besides baggy in the gut surface area and sleeves but tight on the arms/pits. I'm not a large guy either. I think with most puffy jackets it looks better on slim builds, otherwise information technology puts emphasis your thiccness.

Reading up on the reviews information technology definitely feels like they are skimping on the downwardly, people are saying they felt common cold in -x. I've likewise noticed the in shop jackets are a lot lighter than the quondam EB jackets from 10-15 years agone. I notwithstanding have a long parka from way back and information technology'southward starting to show it's age, the down is starting to come out in spots.

I got the grey every bit well. Prefer that over the black when its pitch nighttime outside. Make yourself visible to oncoming traffic

Agreed that jackets x years agone felt more "total", might exist an issue for people back East or in the Prairies. It doesn't get too cold in southern BC so -10 works when I go snowshoeing or a low-cal hike.

Eddie Bauer'southward always 50% off so this is really just the regular price. If you want a 18-carat bargain on one of these you usually have to await for in-store simply prices or amend yet the EB outlet stores in the off-flavour. I got mine on a i-twenty-four hours Canada Day sale upshot for $50 when information technology was sunny and over 30C outside but I've never seen such a bargain repeated since.

Meh, the quality went downward in the last couple years and they got rid of the lifetime warranty a year after my wintertime jacket started leaking water within when information technology's supposed to be water resistant. Couldn't have it back or anything.

I have this jacket but it's a couple of years old.
Pros: it laughs at the cold. Really deep pockets.
Cons: Information technology's very heavy.
